Brian Mugenyi (aka Buula) is an international saxophonist, multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, and producer based in Nairobi. He began his classical piano training at age 8 at the Africa Institute of Music before majoring in classical piano and minoring in saxophone, later engaging in an exchange program in South Korea. His artistry has taken him across America, Asia, Europe, and Africa.

Notable Performances & Collaborations:

  • International Stages: Featured at the ISY Festival in Sanya, China (supporting Franck Biyong before an audience of 25,000), the Zanzibar International Film Festival (ZIFF) opening for Salif Keita, Sauti za Busara and the Karibu Music Festival in Tanzania.
